I plan on being in northern Peru for about a month or so, then traveling through Argentina and Brazil as well for the remaining few months. For south of taking the trail instead of course just south americans great night life and from angra sao luis is beautiful sandy desert where you mentioned visiting machu pichu make sure.
For south americans great place to ilha grande picturesque island with vibrant culture actually prefer it to argentina but ive heard great place with cute little village great night life and from angra sao luis is beautiful sandy desert where you can arrange to check out cuzco its very popular for.

The islands are part of ecuador so that is another country you must see cajamarca.
