Travel To Argentina

I’m 18 and I would love to go to school in Argentina for the new expierience and a chance to see something new, but my family doesn’t want me to go so far away from the USA and my friends say i would need to do a lot better in high school than i do now.
But how do i get started to go?
I know i need a student visa and a passport but what else?
I thought of everything for this: money, and planning…
